Pines Peak Tower - LOCATION

Pines Peak Tower’s official address is given as being on the corner of Pines Street, Barangka, Mandaluyong City. It is merely a minute away from the EDSA and is quite near the Shaw Boulevard and the MRT Boni Station.

Directly east of the capital

Mandaluyong City is located directly east of the Philippine’s capital, Metro Manila. Amazingly, Mandaluyong is but one of sixteen cities registered thus officially and makes up what is known as the National Capital Region. One landmark feature of this city, apart from the new Pines Peak Tower, of course, is the Ortigas Center. This is a commercial hive of activity shared in equal measure with Pasig City.

On commerce and industry

The Asian Development Bank and the Banco De Oro have headquartered homes here. And it is here that the famous Shangri La Plaza remains an attractive draw card for all commuters, including the new residents of Pines Peak Tower. Mandaluyong City’s commercial strip, comprising mostly of office complexes, financial institutions and service oriented businesses, is conveniently located along major public transport routes which strategically feed commuters who need to redirect to the other cities of Metro Manila.

One important commercial node of Mandaluyong City is that of the EDSA Shaw Pioneer region. It can be accessed from Barangka and Pinatubo roads or avenues. Most industrial business in this region takes place along the Pasig River. Well-known industries continue to be that of food processing and pharmaceuticals. But these industries are slowly but surely choosing to re-locate strategically to new industrial development zones beyond the country’s commercial and legislative capital. Previous zones used for industry have pleasingly been replaced by new residential high rise developments of which the Pines Peak Tower is but one.

Let’s talk about the weather

The city of Mandaluyong’s local climate is regarded as tropical. Outsiders should note that rainfall is less likely in this city during cooler winter months than is the case during summer. The average temperature per annum hovers in the high twenties. Just so you know ahead of time, May is considered to be the hottest month in Mandaluyong City. Not that Pines Peak Tower residents have to worry about that; after all, they still have their swimming pools to cool off in.

Super shopping spaces

It is worthwhile spending a bit more time on this aspect, because that is the funny thing about human nature. Perhaps that has something to do with simply being accustomed to the facts of life. In the past, it was accepted that commuters would always have to travel long distances to work every morning and they simply girded their loins and got on the bus and went patiently to work. But when it came to letting off steam and being out and about amongst the shops and markets, everything had to be on residents’ doorsteps.

It was good for business anyway. But today, none of that is necessary. Take the Pines Peak Tower development, for example. All residents are already close to their places of business and work. And when it comes to the pleasurable but necessary matter of weekend or after work shopping, well, there you go everything is still within a whisker. Recent developments over the last few years have also seen to the rise of what has been described as ‘super-regional supermalls’.

Two iconic mall superstructures are the SM Megamall and the Shangri La Plaza. Indeed, all this is quite a mouthful. Speaking of which, amidst the over one hundred local and international shops, restaurants and traditional market fare abounds. Weekends are a favorite time for professionals and families. There is plenty to do by way of movie theaters, bowling alleys, skating rinks and a whole host of other fairground attractions.
